Just for the record, I was in another
play last March. It was called Beatnik
Blues.
It’s a story about a girl and a magic guitar. There were several weird situations in it. It figures my dad would put me in the weirdest.

Part of the story takes place in
the subconscious of the girl. Your subconscious is like the inside of your
brain. The girl had all kinds of strange thoughts and ideas running around inside
her head. My sister Nancy and I played two ideas that could eventually become
one of her songs. Yes, I know—weird.
My name was Figgy (as in Figment of
Your Imagination). Mommy took me backstage and when it was the right time, Caitlyn
Taylor carried me out on stage. Mommy gave me a cookie to make me feel a little
bit better about going out there.
You can imagine it’s pretty
intimidating to be suddenly tossed into the arms of someone you kind of know
and then be brought out under bright lights where a whole lot of people you don’t know at
all start staring at you.
As you can probably tell from the picture,
I was little uptight. Next year, if I get the part of Extremely Uneasy Little Girl,
I think I could actually get a nomination. But either way, at the very least, I’m
going to have my agent see about negotiating my contract. Next year—two cookies.
